Stopped at this delightful place. Fabulous Palmers Beer and beautiful food - the Blue Vinny Burger is sensational.

Oh wow,,, what can I say, service 20 out of 10, Sophie was knowledgeable, friendly, helpful, efficient & has such a lovely, happy disposition. She was so understanding of our rescue Podenco (Chico) & his nervous disposition ?The food was fantastic ,,, I should've taken photos, delicious & served with a smile, great background music playing too.Brilliant pub, thank you for a fantastic time ?

Staff very friendly and accommodating. 6 of us booked in for lunch on Saturday. Unbelievable quite which no doubt sped up the service, menu very limited, cooked well but not very inspiring choices. I would have expected a better selection of fresh fish dishes considering the pubs location. Great ale choice, kids menu simple and very practical. The private home owner next to the pub was out the swinging a chainsaw and a digger round butchering the boundary hedge with the pub. No consideration for safety and exclusion zones for the public. Accidents waiting to happen and should be looked in to.

Sooooo pleased we chanced a table on our way home from fossil hunting - welcoming staff, good menu (great range of options, including kids) and top notch food. 2 adults and 2 children very happily full after a morning on the beach :0) I think the lovely puddings may have helped too!

Stayed nearby for Xmas and booked dinner here Xmas eve. The turkey dinner was just superb. Best 'Xmas dinner' out we have ever had.

Nice pub, only had a snack, but a great place to stop for a break on the worlds slowest road.

Hi Hi

Stopped off after a wet dog walk as it looked so cosy and inviting. And what a beautiful little pub !! we shared some nice picky bits to eat and a couple of drinks. Staff were so kind the owner even spent time with us practising his Christmas pub quiz which the kids thought was brilliant ! We honestly wished we lived closer this would definitely be our go to pub .thank you for a memorable visit :-)

Went for New Years Eve. We were squeezed in with a four legged friend at late notice. Service was fantastic straight away and throughout the evening when they were very busy. We had the fish and the duck. Both were exceptional and I have to say one of the best Duck dishes I’ve tasted. Was all very well and reasonably priced, and finished off with some brilliant live music. A great way to spend New Years. Thank you!

Not as good as when we visited previously. Not enough light lunches choice.

After driving past this pub for many years we decided to stop off for a drink and hoping the kitchen was serving food as it was late in the afternoon and most pubs enroute home were closed. Well what can we say other than amazing ! The charm of old inn , the amazing hospitality together with sumptuous dishes and good local beer meant we will most definitely be returning! Support your local pubs and breweries, again Palmers of Bridport do the simple things and make sure guests are happy! Well done to the manager and kitchen staff !

It's several years since we were last the The George and the atmosphere and food were great then. This visit showed many changes - not least in the menu - but food and service were as good as ever. The menu had a great range of choices, the prices reasonable and the staff friendly. It wasn't a busy night but quiet is good. We will certainly return.
