Very welcoming pub and all of the staff were very nice. Food was good although the burgers felt a bit overcooked or dry. The fish and chips were good but putting onions in mushy peas is a no for me.
Excellent. We stayed for two nights and ate in both evenings. The room was great, not fussy, comfortable, large and warm. Naturally hearing the waves on the shingle beach helps with the atmosphere in, The food at dinner and breakfast was first class. First evening we had the fish stew which came with a generous portion of white crab meat on top, a nice touch. Second evening we had a mix of several starters, all generous size and delicious. We came across this place almost by accident just needing a lunch break in our journey from Devon to the New Forest. The setting was idyllic and inside was so cosy and atmospheric Food was really good - a crab brioche and salad with fries and a ploughman's. Staff were very friendly. Totally recommend !
