After driving past this pub for many years we decided to stop off for a drink and hoping the kitchen was serving food as it was late in the afternoon and most pubs enroute home were closed. It's several years since we were last the The George and the atmosphere and food were great then. This visit showed many changes - not least in the menu - but food and service were as good as ever. The menu had a great range of choices, the prices reasonable and the staff friendly. It wasn't a busy night but quiet is good. We will certainly return.

Went for New Years Eve. We were squeezed in with a four legged friend at late notice. Service was fantastic straight away and throughout the evening when they were very busy. We had the fish and the duck. Both were exceptional and I have to say one of the best Duck dishes I’ve tasted. Was all very well and reasonably priced, and finished off with some brilliant live music. A great way to spend New Years. Thank you!
