The bar is a lovely clean well run place with enough of a selection to keep everyone happy. There's a lovely large cabinet full of cake. Other highlights are the large TVs, wifi and pool tables. We'll be back to discover more about the fire service too!
Visited frequently during our stay at Highlands End and made use of the soft play and very reasonable happy hour. Food is fairly standard pub grub style, but is of a fairly decent quality (roast dinner was especially good). We've been to Highlands End numerous times for a holiday and whilst we've used the bar for drinks, this is the first time we've eaten in Martin's Bar, so on our last day we decided to try their Sunday carvery. I can honestly say that it's the best carvery we have ever eaten. All the food was well cooked and nice and hot, our only disappointment was that we hadn't eaten there sooner! The bar and restaurant staff are all excellent too.
