The food was very mixed quality, and I have lived in India for years so know Indian food. The ‘chefs special’ entrée was not what was described on the menu, and the chef even cooked the pomegranate seeds! The waiter (owner?) didn’t apologize or charge me less like most restaurants would when I told him. On the other hand the tandoori salmon entre I also tried was good.
Well I have discovered a new favourite at the Viceroy. The chicken tikka Bombay flame is an exceptional curry. Spiced somewhere between a madras and a vindaloo, the unique flavour of Naga chili pervades this beautifully balanced sauce. The baby potatoes are a delight and the curry is satisfying and leaves one feeling very content. The food was good, lots of different choices on the menu, the service was also good too, but inside the restaurant it was quite cold and there was a lack of inspiration when it comes to decor.
