This is our local chip shop, serving fish, pies, sausages, etc and chips to takeaway. Payment is cash only and the food is almost cooked to order. There is limited parking in the road outside, so if you live too far away to walk then it probably pays to telephone your order in advance, as you may have to wait a little while for your order. The Creakmoor Plaice is a very well run established with locals fish and chip hub of real quality. We were staying in the Ceakmoor Village on tour of local East Dorset and also went to the local fishing lake for anglers - subject to the spoils of weather- and visited the Plaice that is definitley recommended for the finest cod and chips as a spot meal. Went yesterday for lunch, had a large cod and chips and was completely blown away! Totally unexpected. The shop is very clean and the staff are both friendly and efficient. The food, just wonderful. The cod was thick and over a foot long and the chips were perfect. Not greasy at all. Best fish and chips I've had in a long time. I'll be coming back with family, friends and anyone who'll listen.
