We’re there last Friday for a small celebration with family and friends and chose the buffet menu for 15 people. The staff couldn’t have been more accommodating and reserved us a small area of the downstairs. Having undergone a recent refurbishment and new owners and management The Crown is well worth a visit. Fabulous Hotel competitively priced. This newly renovated hotel is a fabulous venue. The hotel rooms are beautiful (Though the beds could be bigger) Centrally located for everything. The rates are great value , no inhouse chef so breakfasts unavailable but when kitchens up and running Im sure the rates will increase. No parking but they kindly found us a space . Interior layout has been improved. One bar only now whichs gives a lot more space for customers. Beer prices are very competitive. A more varied and changing range of cask ales only two on at a time but variety is the spice of life.
