Visited here whilst staying at Rockley park. Booked online for a party of 7 and came on a late Thursday afternoon. Lots of parking space outside and lovely looking pub. We got there half hour early and our table was all ready for us. Good selection of drinks especially ales/ lagers. Staff were very friendly and upbeat. Conveniently positioned pub for anyone staying at Rockley Park, we have visited the Yachtsman on many occasions this year, the service has been consistently fabulous with the staff always being welcoming and friendly. The service does vary from visit to visit we have had table service and also been asked to order at the bar, which is a bit confusing but not a deal breaker! Enjoyed an evening meal in the pub/restaurant whilst holidaying nearby. Nice decor inside, very homely feel. Plenty of free parking too. Good size outdoor area. The menu was limited in what it served but all of the food we received was fresh and tasty. Prices on the higher side of average but if the food is good then you don’t mind (unlike our previous meal at Quay Spice which was overpriced and inedible).
