Pubs in Swanage

“Visited friends in Swanage over the weekend. Great company and weather . Visited the Black Swan for Sunday lunch. Great food, only spoilt by having our roast meal drowned in gravy when we'd asked for our gravy to be separate. Otherwise, really great roast . ?”

“Sunday lunch, small plate (SP). Excellent service, as always, staff very pleasant. Roast beef was tender and delicious, as was my sister's pork. Desserts (Pavlova and Baked Cheesecake) were tasty, although the fruit topping was a little firm. Otherwise excellent!”

“I popped in on my break. Had some lovely coffee and salt and chilli chicken to take away. Was on a Friday around 6pm and the pub was buzzing. The chicken was lovely and really good value for money. I’ve just found a hidden gem.”

“It is a really lovely pub with a welcome feeling to it. It is dog friendly too which is really important to us. After reading some of the reviews, some of which weren't so good, we decided to try it for ourselves. I'm so glad we did. It was a delicious meal, with good-sized portions and happy, attentive staff. Thank you to the staff for a fantastic meal. ? ?”

“We was stopping at the Rookery B & B and the Crows Nest was conveniently over the road. We decided to stop for a drink on our first night and then decide where we would eat in the town. On ordering our drinks we noticed they had a menu and decided it looked delicious so we stayed. I can honestly say the food was amazing. Our husbands had the chicken curry which came with onion bhaji's, rice and poppadoms. My friend had the prawn salad. I have never seen so many prawns and she couldn't eat them all. I had the nachos and chilli. Just wow! It was not only tasty but so filling. I can eat for England and really struggled to finish it all. I didn't want it to end so ended up feeling uncomfortably stuffed. The staff were very friendly and so welcoming. I would definitely recommend you visit this place”

“Very nice place, with kind staff. It's almost self-service, but they explain everything. The day we went was a Monday and the menu only had pies, which were delicious!!It has relatively close parking, not of the shop, but around there on the street.”
