“First time here for a Sunday lunch, amazing starter of chicken goujons, then I went for the chicken dinner, only thing lacking was the amount of chicken, it wasn't even a full breast of it, it was half, it tasted great and everything else on the plate was amazing, just the amount of meat, everyone else in the party got beef and there was plenty of this on their plates, just an observation provide a full chicken breast for a Sunday lunch not half of one lol.The pudding was incredible, toffee crunch pie with cream to round it off. Really good prices and a lovely traditional pub feel in the inside, will definitely go back but get beef next time lol.Parking: Was difficult to find parking spot, may need to park on side streets near the pub”

“I love my local Spoons. Shelly, the manager is a hoot and the staff are mainly crazy. It’s the only pub I drink at in Consett. People knock it very unfairly but it is what it is. A big clean pub that serves good beer and food at reasonable prices.”
