So, this is a small restaurant in new college Durham. Where students prepare food, serve and generally run the restaurant in order to learn how this is done, great idea i feel. We were served the fine dining menu which was 6 courses, appropriatley portioned to be just right.The staff were great from start to finish, attentive , not overbearing and efficient. We had a wonderful Christmas Meal here on 18 December 2019. Both the food and the staff were fab. The service was fast and professional. The room was beautifully decorated with candelabra on the tables and two tastefully decorated Christmas Trees. The restaurant was warm, comfortable and welcoming. Well done and thank you everyone at Bistro 1819.
