What a fabulous place to soak up some real atmosphere with friendly staff, comfortable surroundings, big screen TV'S, a ripping good play area for the kids, undercover and spacious outside bar, plenty of seating and umbrellas for those occasional hot sticky days, cool lawn areas and plenty of room, and just a short walk up Claypath from the centre of Durham City.Yes it's the favourite place for a few laughs for these two Aussies.Regards Cliff the Aussie hehe...
Visited the beer garden on Saturday afternoon with friends , great reception and service from Claire , Emmy looked after us with drinks served to the table , probably the best beer garden in Durham . well worth a visit

First time here.Celebrating a friends birthday. Fantastic night with entertainment from Marcus Black. Great atmosphere and a real friendly pub, with a great range of well managed ales. We will definitely be visiting
