Bar • “I’d always wanted to visit the P&G & it didn’t disappoint. It’s not pretentious like other Michelin starred restaurants, the portions are human sized, the food was amazing for all four of us & the staff are friendly & welcoming. It was a treat from a great friend so didn’t pay the bill but the prices looked more than reasonable for the calibre of food & service we received. We weren’t rushed out either even though we were last. Will definitely be back & would definitely recommend”
Bar • “Visited this evening with my dog to meet the parents for some food. Staff could not have been more attentive and polite. Food was absolutely spot on. Some of the best food and service we’ve experienced in a long time. Thank you for a relaxed and enjoyable evening ??”
Bar • “Stayed here for 1 night as visiting my daughter. The staff were excellent and very courteous. Only name I can remember is Lottie and she was lovely and very helpful as they all were. The room.we had was amazing and very spacious. We ate breakfast (extra charge) the next morning and it was lovely (although would have loved some black pudding!) . We both loved the bar area too and will definitely stay again in a couple of weeks when we next visit my daughter.”
Bar • “Parking is very limited so have a backup plan for your car just in case. There is a cheap multi storey just opposite by the premier inn. The pub is warm and lovely, we went when it was snowing and we felt so snuggly inside. The servers are fab, very friendly and very helpful. The food was excellent and facilities clean.”

Bar • “Went in on Wednesday to watch Newcastle vs Man City with a few friends and it was an amazing venue staff was very welcoming and helpful and got everything right got some drinks which where to die for and the food was awesome can’t wait to go again”
Bar • “The Cross Keys is a traditional pub, a typical Wetherspoon's. On this visit we both chose a traditional breakfast and coffee (which you get from a self service coffee machine). It was all very nice at a reasonable price.”
“Menu is dated it's the same now as It was 8 years ago apart from specials board and even that is just rotated.Good is always good sauteed potatoes come with onion when all you want is potatoes but no mention of onions on menu.”
