Spontaneous decision to visit and we were lucky to get seated after a quick phone call. Staff are so friendly. Food was delicious. Perfect repast after a long beach walk .....

Quirky beyond belief but it works for me! It is a total surprise when you walk in! There are chairs and tables outside but I seriously recommend going inside. Woh! Chalk and cheese. Really enjoyed the atmosphere inside with so much to look at! ?Had coffee and a cake. On a personal note I prefer my coffee much stronger and think this was probably a single shot of coffee in a large cup, hence the 4*! ? I would certainly ask for a second shot next time?Carrot cake was very tasty and the staff were very friendly.

Superb service and very good quality tasty food, really enjoyed the visit with my wife. I would personally book in advance as it does get busy. I really need to try their Sunday lunch. The picture doesn’t do this justice.

Got afternoon Teas to go. Didn't contain the items we were told they would. Really poor value for the price. You will find better

So glad we booked a table! Such a quirky little place. Great ambience, friendly staff and wonderful atmosphere. Visited with a friend. Neither of us were particularly hungry, so had a couple of starters to share. Beautifully presented and delicious. We couldn't resist the homemade cake afterwards. Lashings of lovely tea in giant cups..........Will make sure next time I visit that I'm ravenous as all the food looks delicious. Will keep an eye out for the dining club too. So nice to see a local business doing so wel!! See you again soon!!

No clotted cream with my cream tea?Ah, Chantilly cream! You mean whipped cream with sugar? It may sound posh but Chantilly cream is just sweet stuff made for French desserts. Clotted cream is what's served with cream teas, from Cornish cafes to the Savoy and Claridges. So before you accuse me of childishness, do yourselves a favour and get some clotted cream on the menu. It might be more expensive but you'll be doing your establishment and us cream tea lovers a huge favour.I wish you well with your small business Kasha. I'm only explaining all this to help x

Absolutely loved our afternoon tea here. The food was scrumptious with a good variety of freshly baked items. The building is small and not wheelchair or pushchair friendly. The staff were so helpful and friendly and very attentive. We were given the option to take home our leftover food. Will definitely go back again. Dietary requirements were a high priority and must be mentioned when booking your table so that options are available on your chosen day.Dietary restrictions: Advise staff of dietry restrictions when booking your table so that you have a wider selection of appropriate foods available.I have a milk allergy and my selection for afternoon tea was so delicious and plentiful!Parking: Limited free parking available right outside the building.

Lynnne, Wendy, Courtney & Gemma were all very welcoming. We had the Beef Sunday lunch which was wonderful and a good portion. Excellent vegetables and gravy topped with a great bottle of red wine. Sticky toffee pudding and custard for desert. A real treat!

Although we had booked our table, I got the distinct impression they were not expecting us. Within a couple of minutes, they found us a table. They took our order and brought us some water. We seemed to wait an age for our food, but when it did arrive it was delicious and the staff were very friendly.

First time visiting yesterday morning with friends, what a lovely place to be! I can’t believe it’s the first time I visited yesterday. We arranged our pre-Christmas celebrations for a good catch up and thoroughly enjoyed our morning. We prebooked our table and explained we would have a 9 month child with us and they were able to provide a chair for him.Plenty of free parking next to the venue which is clearly stated for the cafe, which allows a 2 hour stay.As it’s Christmas we enjoyed the festive menu and had Mexican Hashbrowns which were so good to eat!The team were so lovely and chatty and made us feel very welcomed.I will be returning in the new year and feel like I’ve found a little hidden gem!Vegetarian options: Vegetarian breakfast is availableParking: Free parking in the train station parking area. Clearly labeled for the cafe with a 2 hour stay.Kid-friendliness: We visited with a 9 month old and when we pre booked our table they arranged for a high chair accessory be put on a seat pre arrival
