177 Hallgate, CottinghamI can't believe I've only just discovered this place! I went in yesterday was welcomed with friendly faces and such a lovely atmosphere. I ordered a pistachio and white chocolate drink and a key lime pie, which happened to be gluten free! They were both delicious! Dogs are allowed in too! I think I've found my regular coffee shop !

70 King St, CottinghamIt was a really good experience and we didn’t have to wait long for our food. During the time whilst me and my friends were waiting for our food there was this creepy mid age man (for reference we are thirteen so it was quite a scary experience) watching us from outside the window but since the staff were very nice he checked if we were okay and made sure the guy left us alone. We are very grateful for these friendly staff members and over all the food was very nice.

140 Hallgate, CottinghamHaven’t been to Kristoffs for a while . Rang for table and they fitted us in 1.45 as they finish orders at 2 on a Sunday . I had beef brisket ( thick , soft and lean ) which was lovely. Wife had chicken thighs, again lovely. Large portion of veg . Stuffing ball , Roasts and big Yorkshire pudding. The Gravy is Amazing, you could have a lump of bread and a spoon. Roast £11.95 each . A bottle of New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc , all for just under £40 …. I couldn’t eat a pudding as I was stuffed . But took a few portions home for £2 each .

The Old Lamp Room
Station Rd, Station, CottinghamFirst time visiting this place, didn't even realise it existed. Walked in and instantly received a warm welcome. I ordered a beef roast. Wow, very tasty and packed with flavour, best Sunday roast ive had in ages. Staff were very friendly. Highly recommend and will be definitely will be returning.

164 Hallgate, CottinghamCame in early , around 5 . There was 6 of us for tea . Was my first time here and must admit it looked great inside. The service was very good. The portions are large , so don't go if you don't like a plate full. Three of us had a different lamb dish , all overcooked.. Made the lamb , quite tough which kind of spoilt what looked like lovely food. Staff very apologetic. Would return in the future and try again.

Could have spent a fortune in the bakery as everything looked tasty and you don’t get many small bakeries with such wide range down south! Had pork and black pudding pie yesterday and they were really good. Highly recommend a stop here for any one.

Market Green, CottinghamMy sister and I went the Duke of Cumberland 02/12/25 for christmas lunch which we thoroughly enjoyed. The service and food was excellent the staff were very polite courteous and so helpful nothing was to much for them. 44 New Village Rd, CottinghamNew Village Kitchen provided a buffet for a wake we were holding at home. We collected it, so I can’t comment on delivery.
But the actual food was perfect. The sandwiches and wraps were fresh and varied, with plenty of filling. The savouries were delicious, as were the sweet treats. Everything was well presented, and I wouldn’t hesitate to use them again

Skidby Windmill, Beverley Rd, CottinghamHad a lovely lunch (as always) consisting of the mushroom, pesto & cheddar wrap with salad & crisps. I have never tasted a wrap as good as this, crammed full with ingredients & nice & hot. My friend thoroughly enjoyed her meal. It was her first visit having being recommended by myself. I took home some chocolate fudge cake which was also lovely.
It was quite noisy & I found it hard to hear my friend talk sometimes but that is a sure sign of how popular it is by the number of people there.
Will be back again soon.

The starters were freshly cooked to order and fantastic, just the right portion size. Only managed 3 mains, so 1 each but the size was too generous.
The red wine was nice and not too bad at £22 a bottle. All in all a very enjoyable night out.

Kismet has a good rating by others so we chose here.\n\nThe menu was slightly different to what we get back home(Glasgow) and I spoke with the staff & I think the owner/boss too about what I was looking for in my meal.\n\nStaff were friendly and explained the options that would match my request. \n\nFood is cooked on a griddle instead of a grill. Although I prefer grill, I'm not rating down for this. My first time trying griddle & the food was cooked fresh in front of you & is very tasty. Kebab meat was great. The chilli sauce has a slight texture to it, taking me back to the sauce I would get on a kebab at a local kebab shop in my hometown. \n\nWe also sampled the shops own chipsalt. This wasn't overpowering & the flavour was nice, so we took some back home with us, as my daughter liked it. \n\nFor griddle cooked food, you can't go wrong. Thanks to the staff for being helpful & welcoming to me & my daughter.\n\nFor anyone looking to visit for a takeaway, they only accept CASH. Not an issue and not a mark down, but in the event anyone reads this review then it helps them prepare in advance.\n\nThe owner/boss also mentioned his daughter in law is due shortly - so congratulations when the baby comes. What truly stood out was the exceptional service-the owner even took time to give us a personal tour of the establishment.
This level of genuine hospitality is rare to find these days.
We'll definitely be returning and highly recommend this place.

The staff are incredibly friendly, and the service is always quick. I once placed a large order (around £40) over the holidays for collection, and it was ready in just 20 minutes. We realised when we got home that a portion of chips was missing, but they delivered it straight away with an apology. I wasn’t particularly bothered, but really appreciated them going out of their way to sort it. Definitely recommend if you’re after a quick and tasty takeaway.

Kings Parade, King St, CottinghamGreat experience and will revisit at some point. The only issue I have is the price of the food. I went a couple of years ago and it seems the price has increased by 50% and even when you consider inflation seems a little steep for pasta.

Our food arrived 35 minutes later, absolutely stunning curries, complements to the chef, delivery driver & the polite, respectful gentleman who answered the phone to take our order. Telephoned them back after our food to pass on our thanks for a delicious meal. We have travelled up from the West Midlands, great start to our holidays ? ?

The care the staff take in making sure that my order is safe for me goes above and beyond. I can't comment on the food as Costa (as a chain) only makes a flapjack that is safe for me to eat. It would be lovely if I could eat here, too.
