On the whole this is a great place to visit for a bacon butty, however today had the most miserable server who couldn't crack a smile, your order was virtually thrown at you. My first bad experience here
I called to purchase bread rolls also a cream doughnut and cream vanilla slice. I double checked with the assistant it was cream and not custard (they were next to each other) as I do not like the custard ones, when arriving home I had been given a custard sliceafter confirming it was cream.As you can imagine I was not best pleased as I paid for something not asked for. A good bakery though.

I often get the meal deals from here. The staff are always polite and friendly. The meal deal is great value, fresh, tasty and substantial. My only gripe is they’ve changed the cream doughnuts, they used to be fresh and crispy topped with granulated sugar, now they are bready with powdered sugar… no different from the lacklustre supermarket doughnuts. Shame, as they used to be delicious. Other than that gripe, I’m a big fan of Cooplands especially the Hornsea shop!
