Unbeatable fish n’ chips. Best you can find anywhere. Whiteheads keep winning awards for being the best. Entirely justified and deserved. Incredible flavour, wonderful batter and excellent service. Takeaway service is excellent. Restaurant is very pleasant too. Highly recommended. Simply the best you’ll find.
On holiday in the area and sought it out after reading it was recommended by he Sunday Times, and won the National Fish & Chip Awards 2023. In an odd location in the middle of a housing estate but well worth looking for. Ate in the restaurant which was very clean, modern, and decorated with quirky light fittings made of copper pipes. Fish was incredible- meaty Haddock and the crispiest, lightest batter! Mushy peas and curry sauce also really tasty. I would have liked the chips a little smaller and crispier but aware this may just be personal taste. WELL worth a visit
