Unfortunately I arrived to eat with friends and they politely refused to serve me any food because they could not cook anything without cross contamination. So I had crisps lol. Booked a table for lunch, we were not disappointed. The staff here are so friendly, you really do feel welcome. Opted for the Hull Chippy Special of fish, chips and a fish patty. Good atmosphere, nice decor, good food and efficient staff.

Great place for real ales, good choice of beers, it's sister pub opposite Fretwells is great for real ales.
Not had the food yet but the fish and chips is meant to be excellent.

Wish I'd read the most recent Review saying it was closed We planned visit only to find place was all shut up. Outside lights were on (at 1pm) but a 360 round place showed " no way in"

I eat there quite regularly as part of social events and the food is always excellent and good value in my opinion. I particularly like the fish and chips and their vegetarian options. Service is excellent and friendly, and the place has always been buzzing when I've been in.Vegetarian options: Vegetarian Chilli with chips was excellent.
