Always a nice place to be. Warm and friendly welcome by staff who are always pleasant even when the place is full and the bar is busy. David the security is lovely and deals with situations very professionally. A lovely place to have a drink with lots of history.
The oldest pub in Hull. Small, cozy rooms, always a couple of good hand pulled beers, lovely staff, a roof terrace, and a just below ceiling level a train on a track which runs around the room in the front bar!

Didn't have any food so I can't write about it.But if the rest of this great pub is anything to go by;then it will be lovely food.Service was great as was the great choice of beers etc on sale.Cannot fault black boy atall. Will definitely be back soon. Well done to all
