This was a lovely pub for drinking, set in an ancient building as the classic name indicates! The design includes architecture along the ceiling, vintage walls and posters that channel those vibes too. Counter is very neat and staff were friendly, who served me a pint of Mango Cider at comfortable seating!

Didn't have any food so I can't write about it.But if the rest of this great pub is anything to go by;then it will be lovely food.Service was great as was the great choice of beers etc on sale.Cannot fault black boy atall. Will definitely be back soon. Well done to all

Always a nice place to be. Warm and friendly welcome by staff who are always pleasant even when the place is full and the bar is busy. David the security is lovely and deals with situations very professionally. A lovely place to have a drink with lots of history.
