We went on a really busy Sunday lunchtime, however were able to find a table straightaway and order food at one of multiple, well-staffed till points without much of a wait. The service was really friendly, and food came very quickly and was piping hot and freshly cooked. The meals were very tasty and filling so didn't have room for pudding, but they looked amazing and we have treat ourselves to them on a previous visit. We had coffee and a toasted tea cake, coffee as always is good. However the toasted tea cake was hard, and not because it was over toasted. Complained received a second one which was just as bad.
I have used this cafe on and off for years. It is in a garden centre. The garden centre has grown in size and so has the cafe. We (three of us) called in for a drink and a sandwich. The drinks were fine but the sandwiches were not at all good. We ordered two tuna sandwiches and one cheese.All three sandwiches were made with very small slices of bread, possibly a child’s portion.
