The food is the shining star of this establishment. The pub classics are very well executed. The Steak Pie and Beer-battered Fish and Chips are the stand-outs for me personally.The staff are great too. The maître d' is very attentive and clearly loves the place and his role. The other staff were super friendly and helpful also.The setting is lovely and the building was clean. It's fun spotting the famous stars of yesteryear on the walls. Wonderful food and service, if you'd prefer a quiet meal perhaps request a table away from the TV as the sports supporters can be very excitable ?Vegetarian options: Wonderfully tasty ?

A friend and I who now live at opposite ends of the country met here on Friday night as we were both at the same event held locally the following day. We stayed for several drinks a dinner. Good food, good selection of drinks and a warm welcome in a lovely pub. Well worth a visit.
