The Half Moon Inn
Main St, Newton upon Derwent, YorkA friend and I who now live at opposite ends of the country met here on Friday night as we were both at the same event held locally the following day. We stayed for several drinks a dinner. Good food, good selection of drinks and a warm welcome in a lovely pub. Well worth a visit.

11 Main St, Wilberfoss, YorkWe’ve just been for our first visit today for Sunday Lunch. The food was fabulous. Beef, Pork and vegetables were cooked perfectly and fabulous huge Yorkshire puddings. Service was first class, with a smile from the ladies. Definitely worth a visit and we’ll be back.

York Rd, Stamford Bridge, YorkWe had the Sunday menu and it had a good mix of meals. The lamb was lovely and tender, the beef was right. Veg came seperate so we could split as we felt like it. The boys had burgers and we was able to have 1 just plain as desired.The waitress was helpful and polite and had to go back and ask the chef if it was possible to do small changes and was able to get a dessert that wasn't on the menu.A good choice of beers and largers and not your usual mass produced ones.We live in Manchester but when we are in the York area this is the pub we go to for a meal they have never let us down.The Three cups is a vintage inns pub so use there loyalty app for special offers.

Rydal Garage, YorkHad a brilliant sandwich today from Rebecca's. The food was fresh and plentiful, they didn't skimp on the ingredients. The staff are friendly and happy to serve you. It was well worth the money. I'll definitely be making this my new regular.

No. 10 Cafe Bar & Bistro
10 The Square, Stamford Bridge, YorkTable booked for 1pm eventually got our meal 50 minutes later. I felt that the apology when I pointed this out was rather grudgingly made. The kitchen clearly could not cope with the number of orders although busy, certainly not full to capacity. Food when it arrived was excellent. Dogs are allowed which added to a nice atmosphere. Would eat here again but would be very careful about what time I booked the table for.

Bridge Rolls
2 The Square, Stamford Bridge, YorkWe were staying in Stamford Bridge for a weekend away and called in Sat morning to Bridge Rolls for a breakfast butty on the way to Brid. We were really impressed. Nice soft bread loaded with bacon for only £3! Was delicious and service was great too :)

Stamford's House Cantonese Restaurant & Take Away
Stamford House, The Square, Stamford Bridge, YorkWell.. what can I say about the take-away we had this evening. Absolutely delicious and probably one of the best we’ve had in a long time. I had the King Prawns in chilli and garlic. The sauce was gorgeous, big, fat juicy prawns and plenty of them. Hubby had the special fried rice ( a few more prawns in it next time??) with curry sauce and salt & pepper chips. Divine. The prawn crackers were really tasty - a great big bag of them as well. Service was quick. Will definitely be trying another one very soon.

Highly recommend especially with their weekday special set menu which is extraordinary value for such top notch food!
