The hare & hounds is a bit different from most village pubs. There is a good choice of beers larger and cider, but sadly, no cask conditioned real ales. The L-shaped bar has bar games, a pool table, and a dart board. It's main selling point is as a Chinese restaurant. There is a separate dining room for meals. I haven't tried the food, but the restaurant menu looks very extensive and inviting. They also have a Chinese takeaway menu. There is a large car park behind the pub.Vegetarian...read full review

Had the Chinese banquet and it was fantastic. Service was very good and the price we paid for the meal was worth every penny. I would certainly recommend Hare & Hounds if you are thinking of having a meal especially the all you can eat Chinese Banquet.

Came for chinese on friday. Lady behind the bar came across quite abrupt trying to serve people drinks yet shout to me over their heads if we had booked or not (we had). Then told to go through to sit down in the restaurant and it was dead. The pub was quite busy & loud music playing over people talking.The young girl who served us was polite. Food was really nice could of been a little warmer though. Probably would give it another go.
