Firstly, the staff here are outstanding. Very rare to have such a lovely welcome. Friendly and attentive. The food was excellent, best chicken wings and burger I have had in a long time. Comfortable and clean. Thank you!
Lovely pub, both the exterior and interior are really interesting, also has a bit of history, or myth maybe, it is supposedly the most haunted pub in Brighton. There was an excellent atmosphere, a nice buzz without being overwhelming loud and crowded. Decent food, traditional pub fare, reasonably priced. What sets it apart though is the excellent service. Splendid little pub! The yam yam lass behind the bar was super helpful and friendly. Will certainly be returning, especially to try to yummy food I saw being served. The level head session ipa was recommended to me and I would highly recommend.
