Reviews for The Brick
There is lager galore on offer at Brick Brighton. Light ones and dark ones, near ones and far ones. The focus is on German and Czech styles when not on UK breweries, and for good reason. The regions of Bavaria and Bohemia are responsible for the evolution of beer making that came from lagering, and then the worldwide fame of the pale, crisp and clear pilsner, which launched lager onto the international stage.Read our full visit writeup on the Brighton Beer Blog website
While the decor might be weird for a seaside pub (Brighton not being famous for its woodland or stags!), there was no getting past the excellent range of beers. A good mix of lagers and ales of excellent strength and very friendly staff. Food also looked interesting (but didn’t try any this time around).

We had 2 of their Czech beers on tap - unfiltered dark Budvar and a Vinohradsky. I think the pour should have been done slightly different on the Vinohradsky with more foam, this is different to how beers are served in the UK usually. Nice interiors and was busy on a chilly Saturday afternoon.
