The Castle tearooms is like stepping back in time to the 1940s. The building is very much in keeping with the castle and the local area but still very wheelchair accessible. We took my sister there today in her electric wheelchair and we were able to access the tearooms easily by the side entrance. The staff were very attentive and helpful and adjusted the furniture to accommodate us. We spent a couple of hours enjoying coffee, lunch and their delicious cakes as always. Amazing place - like being transported back to the 40s!The owners obviously take a lot of pride in their business.Excellent home made cakes. Definitely worth travelling to if you are in the area.

Very friendly and prompt service even though it was a busy Sunday Morning. Nice big pot of tea with lovely delicate china cups And saucers. Warm scones with butter cream & jam were delicious. Dog friendly. Even the dogs (we had 2) were given a biscuit Would highly recommend
