Stopped off for a late lunch here on Bank hol Monday, before taking the lovely if rather steep walk up Mt Caburn (footpath access for which is opposite). What a find. We had a table in the attractive garden and I had an individual small quiche with salad and my husband had the soup of the day (carrot ad roasted pepper I think), both of which were really tasty. AMAZING. Sandwiches were really great - not always the case with high tea. Awesome cakes, fresh scones, all the tea and in a gorgeous garden - took German in-laws and they were delighted. Couldn’t recommend more.

Had a lovely afternoon tea for Mother’s Day and it was one of the best we’ve been to (and we visit this pastime a lot!). The staff are really friendly and welcoming, the cakes and scones were delicious and the finger sandwiches were well-filled and really tasty. It’s probably one of the smallest tea rooms, but it’s really quaint and in a lovely village.
