“Lovely old pub, went in for some lunch on a wet and windy day. Felt immediate relief from the weather with the atmosphere and the fire going. Good unfussy ”

“What a beautiful and romantic spot in the heart of Lewes. Lewes Bill’s was the very first of many Bill’s restaurants opened in 2001. A few years later the Brighton branch followed and from there in 2010 Reading, Covent Garden, Cambridge and many more.I promised to my wife a Bill’s breakfast in Lewes and we went there from London. We had a typical British weather all day long. It didn’t stop raining even for a minute. We didn’t book a table but Charlotte, the manager, gave us a table always with a beautiful smile and the best aim to help.I ordered the super famous Bill’s breakfast (brunch option as we arrived after 11:30) and my wife ordered the spectacular Bill’s pancakes with syrup. Just simple food but beautifully prepared with very fresh ingredients. We also had the pleasure of being served by Daniel, another manager, also with the most friendly and helpful attitude you could expect. All the staff who came to our table to bring food, double check our meals and clear the table looked really happy, friendly and attentive. It was a fantastic time remembering all days in Lewes more than 15 years ago and Bill’s still having the same soul. Many thanks for your amazing service and looking forward to visit you again in the future.”

“Fab old pub for drinks. Some really good ales. Food mediocre and overpriced for the quality.”
