We came for an evening Sunday roast. Roast was absolutely killer including one of the best cauli cheeses I’ve ever eaten (and my experience is extensive). Huge plate of food that we couldn’t finish but all delicious. Service attentive and kind but not intrusive. Would recommend very highly.
Had a family event here. Location was a little of a challenge to get to by car ( small lanes, with potholes). The venue was great. The conservatory space allocated to us was wonderful, especially in winter lights. Tables were beautifully laid out. Service was great and attentive. The food was mixed. A top notch gastropub. Quite a remote location but definitely worth the trip. Wide ranging menu which included eel and partridge starters, brill, duck breast and sea bream mains and a Jerusalem artichoke and truffle Parmesan side. Very good service, dog friendly. Big garden for the summer. Quite pricey
