“Great find to watch some sport upstairs in the function room when that can be hard to find sometimes in Lewes! Stayed for beer (good selection) and decent enough food (burger and chips).”

“Good food. Small venue, so the quality is good. The waitress was lovely and she was singing along to all the songs playing which brought me joy ? . I would have gotten a coffee if they had syrups. That's my only recommendation otherwise a great little place for breakfast.”

“Only stopped for a midday swiftie before exploring Lewes but friendly staff and well kept ale. Will return by train next time when many more beers will be in order. Keep it in great shape for my return!”

“Lovely old pub, went in for some lunch on a wet and windy day. Felt immediate relief from the weather with the atmosphere and the fire going. Good unfussy ”

“Booked for lunch after a mornings walk [31/10] and I have to say I was very impressed with the pub, staff and the lunch. Food was excellent [Sausage & Mash] with the sausages being super tasty. Washed down with a Harvey's Best, what more could you ask for. Overall, an excellent pub and great VFM - IMHO.”

“We booked the Swan for our wedding reception as it's within walking distance of the Registry Office, but also has a car park, From the start the staff could not have been more accommodating and helpful. The buffet was excellent and the staff helped us to decorate the discrete area of the pub set aside for ourselves and our guests, The best way to describe how the reception went would be faultless and I would highly recommend it.”

“Having not been here for a few years it had changed a bit. There’s been a bit of a refresh and the darts and toad in the hole games were no more. It’s still a classic pub with the lovely outdoor terrace and good selection of ales. Krombacher on tap was also a nice touch. The menu was mainly burger focused, although I didn’t indulge. Not quite the same feel as yesteryear but still a nice pub.”

“Thank-you for a fantastic Sunday roast yesterday. We had the pork and Venison then the apple crumble. Compliments to the chef! Also a big thank you to the friendly staff who made us feel very welcome. We will definitely be back.”
