We stopped for fish and chips last night while waiting for our ferry to Dieppe, and I have to say they were probably the best fish and chips I've had for many years 5star highly recommend ?
Newhaven is not a place I have ever visited or ever intend to visit again. It's not the nicest seaside towns. Feels a bit rough round the edges. But the best thing about Newhaven is the fish bar. Large flakes of delicious white cod in a crispy batter and a good portion of chips made this chippy well worth a visit! Staff were friendly and price was reasonable.

Tried their GF night and it was really great! The fish was well cooked and the 'breading' was as good or better than the non-gf version! It's worth a try even if you aren't gluten free. We were really impressed with the GF curry sauce as well!Dietary restrictions: They do a GF night every 2 weeks, it's so great. Their chips are always fried separately from the fish so their chips are always GF.
