Ordered the tavern burger, its very big and quite expensive, but unfortunately they follow the trend of making burgers taller instead of wider, making it difficult to eat.It did take a long time to arrive, but was told the patty is made fresh.I think it was just ok for the money, the patty itself lacked flavour,.would suggest a few spices in the meat and also additional flame grilling. The bread was average also.
Staying at the nearby campsite we took a wander down to watch the early Saturday football match on the TV and then wander to Telscombe Cliffs. Barman was very welcoming. The pub itself is really nice, clean and tidy throughout. We could have easily stayed there all day. Didn't eat, but the menu looked good value. Will return.

I chose The Tavern for my brothers Wake. I must say the service, staff, food was fantastic. Nothing was too much trouble. I’ve since been in a few times for their Sunday roast. What a bargain, my friends have all commented what great value for money it was and how delicious it was too. Would highly recommend the
