It's a lovely pub. Three of us went there while on holiday in Pevensey. The meals were delicious. The only thing that spoilt it for me was the number of dogs in there. It is not very pleasant eating food with dogs sitting on the furniture and worse still dogs coming in from out of the rain. Wet dogs stink. Please don't get me wrong, I have had dogs through nearly all of my life but would not dream of taking them to a restaurant. There is parking at the pub and a free car park...read full review

Popped in with my collie for a coffee & a chaser.Staff couldn’t have been more welcoming . Superb hot coffee ,nice biscuit for my dog & more complimentary dog biscuits on the bar Nice atmosphere,warm & inviting . Bar server Olivia was particularly helpful & welcoming .Great public house .

We popped into the Castle in on Friday evening as a family of 7 on the of chance we could grab some food. The staff were so friendly and helpful. The food was really good and reasonably priced. We will definitely be visiting again!
