The only thing that spoilt it for me was the number of dogs in there. It is not very pleasant eating food with dogs sitting on the furniture and worse still dogs coming in from out of the rain. Wet dogs stink. Please don't get me wrong, I have had dogs through nearly all of my life but would not dream of taking them to a restaurant. 27 High St, Westham, PevenseyVisited The Heron after a nice walk around Westam, in the mud ?.Quick change of footware and into our pre reserved table.Had the Sunday Roast, lots of nice veg, lovely rosdt potatoes, tender meat and a nice Yorkshire pudding, with a side af lovely cheesy cauliflower cheese.Goos service and decent value for money, although soda and fresh lime, in my opinion, should be free, which they charge for unfortunately.Overall, a lovely dinner, dessert next time maybe, but were full on this occasion.

7 Eastbourne Rd, Pevensey Bay, PevenseyHidden Gem! This bakery/Cafe is wonderful. The food they cook on the premises is so moorish! My hubby loves the pasties, and then there are the cakes....You can also eat in there and the atmosphere is chatty & friendly!

43-45 Eastbourne Rd, Pevensey Bay, PevenseyThe only reason I've not given 5 stars is because I visited this restaurant last weekend with my daughter, and we were served a very poor meal . Poppadoms were not crisp. The chicken in her chicken tikka meal was tough and chewy, and I was served the smallest portion of rice I have ever received.I've been using this restaurant for literally decades and rarely have a bad experience. So this weekend I returned with friends and it was back to service as usual. Crisp Poppadoms, tender meat , great service.The presentation of food is exceptional .

Sluice Ln, Normans Bay, PevenseyPopped in for a late lunch and was pleasantly surprised that even with a road closure in place there was a bustling atmosphere in the pub. If you looking for fancy fine dinning this is not the place for you, they do pub grub and they do it well. There’s lots of fish dishes on the menu as expected for somewhere so close to the coast. A great meal and a warm welcome, we will be back for sure

4 North Rd, Pevensey Bay, EastbourneExcellent takeway at lunch time, no queues and ready in 20 minutes, with toy’s shop next door to find something for your kids or grand kids while you wait. The food was very good with generous portions, we had enough for both lunch and dinner. Especially pleased that the food wasn’t as hot as in most Chinese restaurants, kung po chicken was quite mild but tasty. Sredded duck was really cruspy, will try shredded chicken next time. In our case £33 was more than enough for 3 people. Fried noodles with beans sprouts were nice and not burnt. I can highly recommend at lest as a takeaway.
