Delicious fish and chips, scampi, squid and chicken also served! Tried it and loved it! The place has been around for over a 100 years and the service is brilliant. Definitely recommend. It's not a restaurant, but there is parking around. So you can always eat in your car :) also, they deliver!Parking: Parking around the corner, Aldi, Lidl etc and around. So you can drive around and park.

If this was the Chelmsford branch it would be a 5, and historically ( not been for a long while ) I’d score the collier row a solid 4.I’m scoring this a generous 2 because it’s a gamble shop with regard chips. Sometimes chips are nice, and other times they are like a limp biscuit. As for take away, I’ve chanced it two or three times. After reading some good reviews, I thought I would try Churchills. Not impressed by the staff, rather miserable woman served me. Ordered cod and chips and ribs and chips. Cod and ribs were fine (not outstanding), but the chips were lukewarm, undercooked and some still had the eyes in! Not good enough for a second visit, but you live and learn. Not all they are cracked up to be, and not as good as Adams at the Plough & Tractor.
