Really nice breakfast - good selection, freshly cooked, quality ingredients. Nice location overlooking beautiful countryside. “Newish” hotel/restaurant that provides a much needed quality restaurant in the local area, with a wide rand of “normal” and special” menus. Downham Hall restaurant turned out to be a wonderful occasion. My wife and I went with two friends for Sunday Lunch. The food was excellent and there was a good choice. We had three courses, with plenty of wines. We finished off with coffees. A very pleasant experience. The staff were excellent - nothing was rushed and we had a very enjoyable afternoon. Definitely going to return.

What a lovely place this is. A gem of a find. Lovely welcoming staff. Had breakfast in the orangery yesterday, and what a treat. Lovely food, looking out over the countryside. Very relaxing. Back again tomorrow with a friend for another breakfast. And have booked an afternoon tea and the tasting menu next week, which we're looking forward to immensely.
