Friendly staff and good food for a good price. 3 min walk from the station car park. Complementary prawn crackers and the beer is crisp from tap. Service was quick with post dinner wipes and chocolate. Great for quick bite or full dinner experience. Would 100% recommend
FOOD 5/5 Come here for quality. We have chosen Lantern House for years and nowhere in Chelmsford has beaten it. Went with a friend who regularly dines out and he still says it's the best Chinese restaurant that he's been to. The owner is very pleasant and regularly reviews her food against other Chinese restaurants, knowing the reputable places in London. The best Chinese restaurant in Essex, if not more. I have been visiting the Lantern House since I was a child and it has never disappointed me. Food is amazing, restaurant is clean and quiet, staff are attentive and friendly. Truly an amazing place.
