We had afternoon tea, was asked about diet and allergies. My husband is allergic to fish, we asked for no fish and egg for one. We recieved our food quickly and well presented. Sandwiches served in small rectangles with no crusts. I had what looked like tuna and cucumber to be honest I do not know what was in any sandwich and looked like they had all been cut with the same knife as we could see food smears on the edges of every sandwich. Food exceeded expectations. Ate there the first night not expecting much from a seaside hotel. This is far from a British "hanky on the head," place. The calves liver was to die for and the fish and chips were cooked to perfection. Decided to eat there a second night and we were not disappointed. Staff were extremely helpful, friendly and accommodating. Could not fault anything. Breakfasts were good too and they always got the order right which I now find is unusual in this day...read full review
