The best fish and chips I have ever had! We ate in the restaurant part, which serves alcohol, in a group of 7. The service was extremely good, but the food was incredible. Can't rate it highly enough.
After a canoe club session at the outdoor lido, we were recommended winkies as the best chip shop in brightlingsea, we weren’t let down, all 7 of us had a really excellent meal, with people saying they were the best chips they’ve tasted in a long while, the staff were also very helpful and friendly, so we will be back……

Stopped in for chips on a very cold walk around Brightlingsea. Friendly service. Chops were some of the best I've had. Cooked really well with a few crispy ones. Really enjoyed them. Stood by the boats in the sun eating them. Excellent afternoon.
