Have used The Raj for c.15 years and watched the boys grow up, always enjoying their food and their service...mum and dad are excellent cooks! I would point out though, that they might alienate customers, if they continue to charge people £2.25 for an extra bit of garlic. I jokingly asked for the garlic naan to be extra garlicky, thinking that they would put a bit extra on top for nothing but was gobsmacked to find out that they charged me an extra £2.25 for a pathetic amount...read full review

The veg jalfrezi was the best I have ever tasted and their lemon rice made a perfect combo. Plus we turned up just as they were closing and despite having started locking up, they let us in and were super friendly. Wow! The best food we have had in a long time, it beats any other similar restaurants in maldon, fair price as well!, really polite staff and very helpful quick delivery, thanks so much?.
