Loved this pub so much I've become a regular. Always receive a friendly welcome, even in the busy times. Always feel safe, even when I go on my own, because I don't feel I'm on my own once I walk through the door.Often eat here too and can recommend the curly fries and the mushrooms as my personal favourites, and plenty of other yummy dishes to enjoy too.

First impressions of the castle was it looked a bit run down and in desperate need of a refurb. However taking that aside because looks are not everything. The staff are very friendly and welcoming. The food was very good. Me and my partner both had a burger - both were fantastic. I don't eat burgers much, but I really enjoyed mine. Customer service from the staff was excellent. On arrival we was told that the kitchen is now closed, but after explaining that we booked our time slot online and it did not say the kitchen would be closed from 15:00-17:00, the staff Mary & Charlie accommodated us.and the service and food we received was good.However I do feel that the online booking needs to be updated, as to not allow patrons to book time slots where the kitchen will be closed.
