“Our walking party arrived for lunch, thoroughly soaked after getting caught in a huge downpour. We were welcomed in and a heater was put on to help us dry off. Food excellent and drinks the same. They even arranged a cab for us as none of us wanted to carry on with the walk. 5 stars all round.”

“The Tack Room at the Horse & Groom was a brilliant venue for our family and friends get together. We were able to decorate the room and have our own music playing, with drinks provided at the bar in the room. The buffet was a fantastic spread - everyone commented on the delicious chips and the mini Yorkshire puddings with beef and horseradish went down particularly well. The children had a great time in the little play area and with the push along cars. Scott & Nicki and their team were really helpful and made us feel very welcome.”

“We've lived round the corner from this pub for a long time but only recently started come back here. The new manager Allison has a done a great job in making a nice welcoming pub, the food is always great just sad they recently updated the menu and don't do my favorite burger any more. The staff are always polite, happy and pour a good pint.”

“We dined here on a busy Saturday night and had a wonderful evening. We Had a booking for 8.15 and arrived a little early. Lovely warm greeting and was shown to the bar area whilst we awaited our table. Bang on time we were then shown to our table upstairs. Our waitress for the evening was Sarah. She was absolutely fantastic from start to finish. So warm, attentive and knowledgeable about the dishes we ordered. The food was great. My dad and I shared the Cote de Boeuf, it was the stand out. Brilliantly cooked and the flavour was excellent. The younger waiters who also served us were so polite and professional, a credit to the restaurant. Sarah deserves another mention as she was ace. Thank you for a lovely evening. See you again very soon.”
