Met some friends who now live in Walton, did not expect such high level food, outstanding venison.lots of choice beers, excellent service, nice log fire on a cold day. Everything you want from a “ proper” English pub.superb! Think I could move?
Sunday lunch is a feast?. Today’s roast beef was so tender - cooked medium rare - and crisp roast potatoes and parsnips. Green veg were spot on and tasty. Great beer cellar too! Booked a table a couple of days ago. Good to see the Vic buzzing.

Went for Christmas dinner last night as we do every year plus we visit throughout the year. Food was fantastic, drinks are always the best and the service was spot on. Booked table for 6pm and left at 11.45, what a lovely night we had, would highly recommend.
