The Victory
4 Suffolk St, Walton on the NazeFirst time visit yesterday, birthday treat, wife and dog in tow. Lovely old style pub, locals friendly great atmosphere, dog friendly and the food is amazing. Choice was based on quality not quantity, staff attentitive couldn't find fault with any aspect, ribs were lush, hamburger lush, and the mixed fruit crumble to die for.....a word of warning don't wear a white top if you have the ribs....thank you Victory...

The Bath House
Prince's Esplanade, Walton on the NazeThis was my first visit to The Bath House despite living fairly locally to Walton. Having read the reviews and listening to word of mouth I decided to give it a go.In a nutshell the Sunday roast the three of us had was simply sublime. The roast potatoes were crispy and fluffy. Portion sizes generous. Meat cooked to perfection. Beef was tender as was the pork and the cracking was done beautifully. The interior of this establishment is reminiscent of a man’s working pub but it’s relatively easy to oversee this when observing everybody having such a nice time. The staff were attentive and welcoming and as it was Mother’s Day I was offered a free glass of Prosecco which was an added bonus.I would definitely return as in my opinion. The Sunday roast is far superior than other establishments locally including the fine dining experiences in nearby local towns.Thankyou and well done to The Bath House x

The Naze Cafe & Takeaway
134 Hall Ln, Walton on the NazeThis unassuming restaurant is an absolute gem! We were lucky enough to stumble across this place when I saw that their themed nights were selling out. We went with family for tapas. Everyone was really suited with a range of a dozen dishes or so. It was very reasonably priced with no corkage for wines we brought. After our family experience we booked again and returned as a couple for their paella which I'm afraid we devoured in an obscenely quick time. This place is, unsurprisingly, also popular with locals. I envy them!

Tollgate Fisheries
91 High St, Walton on the NazeAmazing two ladies (Toni and Jo) behind the till, an elderly lady came and parked up in her scooter and with no hesitation these particular servers went straight out to help, take the order and deliver it outside, ensuring she had everything safely on her scooter and change in her purse, and telling her to safely get home. That’s the kind of service everyone hopes to receive. Amazing! Ladies your the kind of people everyone wishes they had working for them.Kid-friendliness: Offer kids meals

Yates Fish Bar
15-21 Old Pier St, Walton on the NazeThe price was amazing, came here for Mother’s Day and came out stuffed the size of the large fish was bigger than the plate and cooked to perfection. This restaurant never seems to fail to give a big serving for a small price.

Naze Links Cafe
9 Sunny Point, Walton on the NazeToday I made my annual pilgrimage to Walton. My entire journey was filled with hope that this little gem of a cafe would be open and, moreover, that they would have a homemade Cornish pasty available. Both came true! Staff here are utterly brilliant and the pasty, well, didn't disappoint through to the last flakey crumb! I sat in my car in pure pasty heaven! See you next year!!

Good Taste Cafe
Good taste cafe, 24 High St, Walton on the NazeI took a lady I was supporting on a day out to Walton. We went here for lunch. The staff were helpful and courteous. The food which was basic was well cooked. There were plenty of customers which is always a good sign of a decent cafe. My only issue was lack of vegetarian food. Having said that the halloumi salad roll was lovely.

Family Pizza Walton
8 Old Pier St, Walton on the NazeWow. Bloody delicious! I feel bad for expecting something mediocre, because as soon as my order arrived and I opened the boxes I could see the attention to detail and generous ingredients on both pizzas. I’ll confess, I am bit of a cynic… so when I saw such a high rating for a reasonably-priced independent pizza place in Walton… 125 reviews, all of them glowing reviews! I was a bit puzzled to be honest. It’s an independent pizza joint in Walton… Being from London originally, independent pizza places are glorified fried chicken shops, and most of their items are cooked from frozen, when it comes to the big players, they are no better. Our Pizza Hut back in North London didn’t use enough pizza sauce and it’s pizza are bone dry, our local Domino’s would often send undercooked pizzas out and their toppings were slimy and wouldn’t taste fresh - then I made the move to Frinton which has almost nothing to offer in way of take-away. I took a punt and ordered from Family Pizza Walton, first calling them up to check if they would delivery to Frinton (extremely friendly and warm) and to my delight they did delivery to the isolated little graveyard that is Frinton! Their pizzas arrived very quickly, piping hot, the dough is soft fluffy, yet thin enough to feel like an authentic Italian pizza, they’ve struck the perfect balance for the depth of their base - not cakey or too deep, but still a little softness and not too thin. The dough they use has to be homemade, as the crust (which is usually very dry from the big chain pizza take-aways) remained soft long after the pizza cooled and there was a lovely golden coating to it, a slight crunch and soft inside. I usually avoid crusts, but on this occasion it was a pleasure to eat them all. A satisfying amount of sauce on our BBQ sauce option, could of appreciated a smidge more tomato pizza sauce on our standard pizza sauce base option. But both pizza were sensational, honestly. They put a generous amount of cheese on both pizzas without being greasy, generous chunks of onions, olives, it all feels very home-made and not something they bring in frozen - such attention to detail, very well presented. I am so bloody impressed to be honest, just when I was starting to feel a bit down with how little is on offer here in Frinton. I hope this wonderful Walton business continues to do well for years and years to come and their standards stay the same - they clearly take a lot of pride in what they provide. Whoever is constructing the pizzas and preparing the dough clearly has passion for food. One last thing that made me very happy - They have an array of ice cream options, dare I say, better stocked than our local Sainsburys here in Frinton. I’ve only been in Frinton for 15 months. I feel a bit isolated and sometimes I feel like I miss London and all it had to offer, discovering this brilliant pizza joint has really made me feel happier. On the few occasions that my friends have come up and visited me, I always feel a bit embarrassed because there’s not really much I can offer them in way of takeaways and movie night food… so now I’m really looking forward to the next time my friends visit and we have a night in. I’ll be ordering pizzas again from this wonderful business. Thank you again for an excellent experience. I’m so used to being let down by the poor standards in London it’s great to see such genuine passion in a pizza restaurant - makes me proud to have moved here. Long Live Family Pizza Walton! ??????

12 Old Pier St, Walton on the NazeI thought the quality of the chicken fillets I had was really good, had a lot more flavour than KFC and I saw them being made in front of me fresh. Would happily go again, can't comment on delivery times as in other reviews as I went to collect ?
