Definitely in need of a refurb and a proper deep clean. Tiles on the floor need proper steam clean , paint on the walls peeling . Food was great , great service also waitresses were very attentive for a mid afternoon late lunch . Will be back in a year or so hopefully will receive a lick of paint and some detailed cleaning .
Came for mother's day lunch so had to have the 3 course meal which was great. Loads of choice from roasts, to chicken pie, to sea bass. Good, interesting, vegetarian options. The option to have a mini dessert with a hot drink instead of a full dessert is inspired. We arrived nearly an hour early for our booking, and they were kind enough to seat us straight away. Our waitress, Stacey, was really cheerful friendly and helpful.

I always enjoy visiting the Greyhound. It's the only dog friendly pub in Brentwood, and it's great to get a drink and a bite to eat after visiting nearby Thorndon, It can get busy, so it's best to book for food in hot weather, although there's plenty of space outside in the garden for drinks only.
