I've been very disparaging about this place in the past and based on previous experiences I had decided to no longer be a customer. Anyway, quite some time later I decided to try it for lunch last week. Half chicken and chips lunch meal for £5.99 which I've had before and been very disappointed with the quality of the chips. Have been a couple of times this week, unusually.First visit the grill wasn't working, which limited food choice. Staff seemed exasperated. I get it but at the same time, I've been at work all day and don't really want to stand in a place that seems like a toxic workplace?Second visit, wait longer than usual, chips were v greasy. Girl on the counter was rude to a boy who came in for a slushie, no need.V expensive and shop is looking tired in general.

Been here several times and the cod and chips special is really good quality. It’s not greasy, the batter is crispy, and the chips are fresh. No idea why this place gets bad reviews - much better than other local chippies that we’ve tried. Will definitely be back.
