52 High St, WickfordI took my other half to Tony’s Italian Restaurant in Wickford for a date night, and we had such a lovely evening. She’s quite picky with her food, so I was a bit nervous, but we were both really happy with our meals.
The atmosphere was warm and relaxed, perfect for a nice evening out, and the staff were friendly and attentive without being over the top. Everything just felt easy and enjoyable.
Overall, we had a really nice evening and would definitely recommend it. We’ll be coming back again!

Food always turns up hot, portions are decent, and you can tell they actually care about what they’re putting out. Never had a bad order from here. Easily one of the go-to takeaways. Will definitely be back ??

I must reccommend the Nagariya Curry, its the perfect blend of spice and flavour and my favourite curry! The staff are very welcoming and helpful, in my experience have always been on time. 10/10!
The only thing i would appreciate seeing is a vegetarian option to the curries on the menu as currently there is only chicken and lamb. Although when I have called up they have been very happy to offer vegetarian curry options upon request

My son and I only had main meals, but both were very nice. They didn't take very long (although they seemed busy) and after looking at reviews, it reminded me that few people leave positive reviews. Most just complain, Well we had a very nice meal. Staff were efficient and friendly, overall a nice evening. I've not been in to the quart for years, but did live near by. Recently moved back to the area and I'll/we Will be returning, and we both recommend the staff and the food.

28 High St, WickfordI’m all for visiting small food outlets rather than the big corporate names. Wickford Diner was an ideal visit. The place was clean and tidy, and the tables were clean, and cleaned with sanitiser within moments of becoming vacant. There were tables available, even though it was busy with customers, and I was served by a friendly young lady. My food was served quickly and it was delicious and hot. I am impressed by my entire visit, and when I am visiting Wickford again, I shall return.

This is, without doubt, the best chippy in the South of England!
The chips are delicious, the portions more than generous.
The service is first class, friendly and helpful.
I'm profoundly death... they took the trouble to speak slowly in a slightly raised voice... not whisper (surprising common) or face the opposite way and shout!
A word of warning... only order one piece of halumi- it's huge!
Totally worth a visit the next time you have to change trains at Wickford ?

Wickford Chinese Takeaway
10 Runwell Rd, WickfordBrenda and all staff are very kind and patient with rude customers.
We are always served very well, portion boxes are always overflowing and food is very good. The prices have been going up every year but where isn’t? Wickford Chinese Takeaway is a family treat and Noel’s a tradition for our family.
Be nice and they will pay you back with a smile and good food.

Went for lunch with my Aunt, who lives nearby. Had never been before and wouldn’t have known it existed, were it not for my Aunt, as it’s not visible from the main road, being part of a little shopping centre bit which you get to, if driving, by coming off the roundabout down a road that looks like it leads to nowhere!
On arrival, it didn’t look particularly special from the outside, but even at midday, it was already busy, showing it is a popular place. Though it was busy, staff were friendly and attentive and we were quickly seated and served.
Menu is good, with plenty of traditional cafe options and the price is standard for this type of place. I went for a full English and was very pleased with the presentation, portion size and taste, whilst my Aunt had a sandwich.
Based on the quality of the food and how nice the staff were, I would return.
The interior was fairly clean and tidy, though the toilets needed a good clean and tidy up. Was good to see it was accessible, with an accessible toilet, though could be tricky to navigate in a larger wheelchair when busy.
There is free parking outside.

Anyway, quite some time later I decided to try it for lunch last week. Half chicken and chips lunch meal for £5.99 which I've had before and been very disappointed with the quality of the chips. However, last week they were nigh on perfect, excellent quality - I actually wondered if the place had been taken over by new people. So to better confirm the experiment I chanced it again yesterday, hake and chips for £4.99. Damn that was a very decent portion and surprisingly once again, the chips were spot on. I should have taken a photo. My opinion of the place has risen exponentially. The web pre-order service was always very handy. Now in saying all that, their normal prices are the worst in town and I'll likely never visit outside of lunch hours.
