Went here for brunch with my husband and 2 children. What a lovely little place. Staff were friendly and couldn’t do enough to help. Lovely china tea pots, plates and cake stand. Food was great, even the kids enjoyed it. Will 100% be revisiting when we are next in the area.

Great full English breakfast in a nice clean setting for my wife, me and two boys. The views over the Cotswolds and country music playing all got us into the mood for the walk ahead. A great little place to stop to fuel up.

We (me and Captain) have just found a new golf course to play, but they don’t have hot food so we needed to find a place to have our usual bacon/sausage bap and coffee/hot chocolate afterwards. As the course is just off the A40 we kept an eye out for places to eat and there it was, the Cotswold Outpost on the A40 just outside Burford. Upon entering we were greeted with politeness and a smile, we ordered two bacon baps, a hot chocolate and Coffee, looking around the Bistro/shop it is styled as rustic with old farmhouse tables and chairs, with gifts, local beers and wines. As for the food we can’t speak about the whole menu but all food coming out looked good and what we can say is those were the best bacon baps we have ever tasted. Two thick pieces of very tasty bacon in a brioche bun. Put simply, polite friendly service, great food and drinks at reasonable prices….what’s not to like. This will now be our regular stop off after golf each week.

Great location. But a truly awful owner. Chipped plates, cold food, chipped pot of tea and cold by the time the food come out. Fancy toast as hard as rock. It took an age to get the food, serving other tables that sat after us. Suspect the chef is little more than a school cook. You know the kind that buy a cafe and try and make it "posh" lol Lets get this right. They used a chipped tea pot, that had an old chip. They had such low standards that they didn't bin it when they noticed the chip but carried on using it. What decent places does that? Imagine if the standards are that low, what other low standards they have. When you see the owners you'll understand fully. Now if you're woke, its the place to go, it will tick all your boxes. I didn't say it in my original review but you could get a better breakfast at an ASDA or a service station. It was that naff. It was trying too hard but the owners are the kind that wouldn't know good if it hit in them in the face. I am sure they think they have a special little place. No its the only shop in the village kind of place. Read the "cafes" replies to other consumers you might notice that they have an air of arrogance about them. Yes they do but they need to look in the mirror. I did offer fair feedback. But their reply stinks, says more about how they see their customers than it does the customers

Quick pitstop after a Saturday morning out and about. Friendly staff. Coffee, tea mushrooms on toast and eggs Benedict. Unfortunately, no red berry tea but the substitute Earl Grey more than acceptable. Coffee good and the food first rate. Our young server extremely polite and helpful. Recommended.

Fabulous food in an unexpected place. Probably top 3 pork i’ve ever had, amazing flavour. My other half’s burger was fresh and nice. Good coffee too.
