Great local pub within easy walk to centre of Cirencester. Excellent range of keg beers and good menu, although closed for food when visited. Real character pub, well worth a visit, or
Just out of the middle of town but well worth finding. The TVs were switched off when I was there. There was music but not so loud that conversation was made difficult. The food was well cooked home style - if I didn’t have the prospect of a big meal later, the battered cod on two other tables would have reeled me in too. Nice choice of draught beers. All round honest-to-goodness pub - like pubs used to be. Enjoy!

As a 30-something female travelling on her own, entering pubs and restaurants can be a bit awkward, but I felt right at home in the twelve bells! The bar staff were helpful and lovely ☺️ would recommend and would return. Pub was decorated very well for Xmas too ? Soup in picture :)
